🎪 Shambles Festival is an annual event that takes place at King George V Park in Melksham; a small town nestled in the Wiltshire countryside.
🏕️ The festival is organised by, James Wilkins, a 23-year-old DJ that would like to see better representation local talent in the arts from rural places. He believes that one of the best ways to achieve this is through events that give a fair opportunity for the arts to shine. After seeing a lack of events that catered for these needs in his local area James drafted together a team of like-minded friends to create Shambles, an inclusive community dance music event. ☀️ Shambles was held for the time in 2023, the festival gates opened and Shambles welcomed people to dance in a community celebration of arts, culture, and music. |

COMMUNITY Shambles aims to foster community through the gathering of people sharing like-minded values. Community gatherings create space for people to form social connections as well as a sense of belonging and identity. |
ART Shambles is a celebration of creative expression and ideas. This means we have a responsibility to champion the artistic efforts involved in all aspects of the festival production including music, food, design & craft. |
COLLABORATION Shambles is not possible without the accumulative efforts of a team of people working towards a common goal. This gives us an opportunity to achieve something together that we wouldn't be able to achieve by ourselves. |
